Texas judge impedes IRA suit’s path to Supreme Court

Dismissing PhRMA’s lawsuit could prevent it from appealing to conservative Fifth Circuit

A federal judge in Austin, Texas, has dismissed PhRMA’s Inflation Reduction Act litigation, possibly short-circuiting the industry trade group’s attempt to find a shortcut to the Supreme Court.

The decision is a blow to PhRMA, but because it was decided on procedural grounds, it has little or no bearing on decisions in other pending IRA lawsuits. ...
