House select committee’s expanded scope weighs on GenScript, Legend
Therapeutic developers now on China committee’s radar, not just CROs

Shares of GenScript and Legend slid on news that the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party has requested briefings about “potential risks they pose to U.S. national security, and the implications of their efforts to displace U.S. leadership in the biotechnology sector.”
Although the companies are not called out in the pending Biosecure Act as “biotechnology companies of concern,” the legislation has provision for the designation of additional companies...
