Bumpus leaving FDA

FDA Principal Deputy Commissioner Namandjé Bumpus will leave the agency at the end of this year. Bumpus joined FDA in 2022 as chief scientist from Johns Hopkins University, where she was chair of the department of pharmacology and molecular sciences. She is the first prominent FDA official to depart since the election of Donald Trump as president.
