After leaving FDA, Cavazzoni joins Pfizer as CMO

Weeks after stepping down as director of FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Patrizia Cavazzoni is rejoining Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) as EVP and CMO. Cavazzoni, a former SVP and head of clinical sciences and operations at Pfizer, also had industry experience at Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE:LLY) and Sanofi (Euronext:SAN; NASDAQ:SNY) before her 2018 arrival at FDA. She resigned from FDA in January, days before the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
