President Donald Trump had two messages for pharmaceutical CEOs during a White House meeting last Thursday: He is furious that drug prices are lower outside the U.S., and he wants pharmaceuticals to be manufactured in the U.S.

Trump said he is willing to impose price controls to bring U.S. drug prices to levels below those in other countries, three sources who were briefed on the meeting told BioCentury.
