Makary filling key FDA posts with policy veterans
Capitol Hill alum Grace Graham, Washington lawyer Lowell Zeta joining Office of the Commissioner
FDA Commissioner Marty Makary is filling key positions in the Office of the Commissioner with policy experts who are well-respected across political divides. This week he named Capitol Hill veteran Grace Graham as deputy commissioner for policy, legislation and international affairs, and Washington attorney Lowell Zeta is expected to join the agency in a senior position next week.
Immediately prior to joining FDA, Graham was chief health counsel for the Energy and Commerce Committee. Her resume also includes a stint as health policy director of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee. She worked on user fee rauthorization legislation in both positions. ...
