Cepheid, (FIND) Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics deal

Cepheid and the not-for-profit foundation partnered to develop an Xpert HIV viral load molecular test to run on Cepheid's GeneXpert platform. Cepheid, which is responsible for development of the test, will receive $5 million from FIND over the two-year deal. Cepheid is also developing a sexually transmitted diseases (STD) test for chlamydia and gonorrhea infections.
