Targeting CPSF3 for ovarian cancer
Inhibiting CPSF3, an endonuclease that regulates transcriptional termination, could help treat ovarian cancer by decreasing DNA repair during transcription and therefore increasing genomic instability and cancer cell death.
Bioinformatic analyses from publicly available genome-scale CRISPR/Cas9 library screens in fifty-eight human ovarian cancer cell lines identified transcription termination components as essential for cancer cell survival.
