MIR200CHG for gastric cancer metastasis
Delivery of the long-coding RNA (lncRNA) MIR200CHG, which is silenced in gastric cancer via promoter hypermethylation, could help prevent metastasis by binding to and stabilizing the microRNA miR-200c to decrease epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT).
Bioinformatic analyses of public gastric cancer transcriptomic datasets showed that tumors with a higher EMT gene expression signature had worse overall survival; further analyses of lncRNA regulator networks within this signature identified MRC200CHG as the most down-regulated lncRNA in EMT-high tumors, and lower tumor expression of MRC200CHG in these patients was associated with worse overall survival. ...
