Inhibiting RNF128 in macrophages for atherosclerosis

Inhibiting macrophage expression of the E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF128 could help treat atherosclerosis by promoting the ubiquitination and lysosomal degradation of the lipid scavenger receptor SCARB1, thus decreasing macrophage lipid droplet accumulation and foam cell formation.
