J&J, Sanofi top list for clinical trial transparency

In a paper published in the British Medical Journal Open, Bioethics International found that clinical trial transparency is high among large pharmas and their newly approved drugs, with Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) and Sanofi (Euronext:SAN; NYSE:SNY) topping the list. The group also said transparency has improved since 2012 by some measures.

The group analyzed 505 clinical trials that supported FDA approval of 19 drugs in 2014 across 11 large pharmas. Each pharma was ranked based on the average transparency of its trials conducted in patients and in compliance with FDA Amendments Acts (FDAAA) standards...
