Scott bill would tie U.S. drug prices to lowest in industrialized nations

Proposed drug pricing legislation from Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) would peg U.S. list prices to an international index, and limit out-of-pocket expenses through transparency at the pharmacy and during insurance enrollment.
Scott's plan would limit the retail list price of prescription drugs and biologics in the U.S. to the lowest list price of the product among Canada, France, the U.K., Japan and Germany. That cap would terminate five years after the legislation's enactment...
